We can easily prepare ourselves at home a repellent that works well against aphids without using harmful chemicals.
Add one teaspoon dishwashing liquid and two teaspoons of alcohol in one liter water and mix well. Use a hand sprayer and apply the mixture on infected plant areas. The solution works well against soft-shelled insects like aphids and should be applied during early morning or late afternoon. If necessary, reapply after one week. Do not spray outside when it is windy or raining and do not use when plants are blooming.
